For My Friends That Don't Think They Can Cook

Look, anyone can cook a meal, ANYONE.
So.. how about you put your big girl panties on and give this SUPER EASY recipe a try.

This should easily feed 2 (or 3, if you're not stoned out of your mind and have a raging case of the munchies... 0r if you are a single parent with two small kids.. this would work too.) Once you get the VERY EASY basics down you'll be able to mess with it all you like and add/subtract amounts to suit your needs.

here we go:

1) Go buy a pack of chicken tenders.. usually there are like about 8 thin strips in a regular package, try to get the organic kind... but I know times are tight, so if you gotta get the regular kind of chicken tenders... just do it. You can also buy chicken breasts (boneless & skinless).. but you'll have to slice 'um up a bit so they are in strips.
Think about all the times you've ordered chicken fingers ... cut 'um up to THAT size. (mind you, I said fingers NOT nuggets... though.. come to think of it, that could work too....)

2.) Pick up a can (or two depending on size... you'll want about 4oz worth) of french friend onions. They are usually (read: almost always) in the canned vegetable aisle at the grocery store. I use the ones made by French's®

3.) you've already got an egg and some flour at home, right? Ok... step 3 is:  go home

This is so easy it hurts to think about someone NOT able to do it....

*set oven to 400˚ (F)
*line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (I spray it with cooking spray too, but you don't have to)
* crack an egg in a bowl and stir with a fork till the yolk is broken up with the white
*in another bowl dump two heapin' spoonfuls of flour and crumble about two cups worth of the french friend onions... mix with your hands (please tell me you washed them first!)... you could also do all this in a giant zip lock bag... but... I prefer the hands on method. (you can also sprinkle some salt and pepper in the mix... and if you have any other spices you want to throw in.. do it. )
*drag the chicken strips through the egg... then roll around in the flour/french friend onion mix and place on the baking sheet.
*stick 'um all in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. (you can pull them out after 15 min and cut one open to see if it's still pink/raw inside...if it's still pink, do the 20 min.)
*EAT  (you can dip 'um in stuff like honey mustard, or BBQ sauce if you want, but they are good on their own)
(I'm tellin' you... it's super yummy... and cheap as hell to make)

So.. in short:

Ingredients:

2 cups (4 oz.) french fried onions
2 tbsp. flour
1 package of chicken tenders (approx 8)
1 large egg, beaten

Directions:

CRUSH French Fried Onions with flour.
DIP chicken tenders into egg; coat in flour & onion crumbs.
BAKE 15 min. at 400 °F until chicken is cooked.

BTW... green beans, or asparagus make a nice side dish... if you are still not sure how to cook asparagus properly.. just go with the green beans. Buy the frozen kind,  defrost... eat. (I'm tryin' to make this as easy for you as possible....)

ENJOY!
